The 13+ and Common Entrance examinations mark a pivotal transition from prep school to senior school.
Even for students who are all but assured a place at senior school, it is important to score well at CE as senior schools use these exams for streaming.
We support pupils preparing for entry to a wide range of leading independent senior schools, including Eton College, Harrow School, Westminster School, St Paul’s School, and Dulwich College, as well as other highly selective day and boarding schools across the UK.
Preparation typically covers:
- English, including comprehension, grammar, and essay writing.
- Mathematics, with emphasis on accuracy, reasoning and multi-step problem-solving.
- Science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
- Humanities, such as History and Geography, where required.
- Exam technique, time management and written structure.
