My son had weekly tutoring to preparing him for taking his ISEB test. This was a process we knew nothing about before, and Henry kindly guided us along the path! Henry is really personable and my son took to him straight away. He loved his weekly lessons (over zoom), and looked forward to them. It was never a chore getting him to do the work. Henry explained things to him in a way that I would never have known, and even did different things to what he was doing in school. Even in the relatively short space of time that he had lessons, he learnt so much - it was definitely worth the money. He also did a mock interview which really helped build my sons confidence for the real thing, just knowing what sort of things he might be asked etc - again, things my husband and I Just wouldn’t have known. Community group De Beauvoir Welcomes Refugees has supported a Syrian refugee family since 2017. We hired English & Maths tutor support from Clarendon to help Ahmad, the eldest son, prepare for his GCSEs. We were very pleased with the Clarendon support both in terms of the teaching methods and friendly delivery. More importantly, so were Ahmad and his parents, all gratified when he got 5 GCSE passes - a fantastic achievement given that he went straight into secondary school with almost no English.

Clarendon Tutors provided inspiring tutors covering maths, literature and photography, as well as organising wonderful days out around London including Westminster abbey, art exhibitions, the Globe and hockey training. Our family was in London for 6 months and the Clarendon team helped grow confidence, independence and academics. It was an amazing experience and the kids absolutely loved it!!

I couldn’t have been happier for my daughter to have been tutored by Clarendon Tutors. We‘re from Germany and my daughter had to prepare for a school in London, which was quite a challenge since the German curriculum is ca. 2 years behind. But with the extraordinary help and support by the tutors she managed to learn so much in just a few weeks and she passed the assessments and will now be visiting the school she wished for! Henry and Orlando both assessed my then 9 year old son, not only from an academic standpoint but also personality and what motivated him. As a result he was matched with the perfect tutor, young fun and engaging with similar interests. He made huge progress and really enjoyed and looked forward to their weekly sessions and had no problems completing his homework. I used Clarendon again during the first lockdown not so much for school work which the school handled well, but for an introduction to philosophy that he was taking an interest in. Now 14, I would say the long term benefits of having had a private tutor have been to encourage him to read round his subjects more to gain a greater depth of knowledge and understanding, and to gain confidence in his own abilities, as well as the correlation between work and results. With GCSEs around the corner I would not hesitate to call Clarendon again, particularly for the encouragement and confidence building which has given such good results already.
Clarendon tutors are very professional, they have excellent choice of tutors and offer great service. My son needed help with preparation for his 11+ exams, our tutor was excellent, kind, professional and patient. Clarendon tutors offer good communication and I cannot recommend them highly enough. All the Tutors that have tutored my daughter since returning from Asia have been SO lovely and very good at teaching my daughter at all the different stages at primary school, especially as she has often needed more than one teaching approach with her dyslexia, which an experienced tutor would be able to do and it was essential in helping her retain the information required in order for her to keep up with her peer group, either in Maths or English or preparing her for a Verbal or Non Verbal reasoning test!

Clarendon Tutors are an excellent service. I have used them for two different children of very different ages with very different requirements. My son who is 10/11 years old needed extra help with his ISEB test and my daughter needed some very specific help with her 16+ entrance exam. Clarendon found two different tutors (one at very short notice) who were both delightful, inspiring and most importantly good! Both my children liked their tutors and their work improved and they, very thankfully, passed the exams. I would recommend Clarendon to anyone and will also, most certainly, be using them again.
