Clarendon were excellent in helping prepare our eldest son for Maths GCSE and our second son for 11+, so we had no hesitation in using Clarendon again when it was time for our third son to prepare for 11+. Orlando looked after us brilliantly, giving our son an initial assessment at home and online, from which he paired us with a suitable tutor. Fred tutored our son brilliantly over a period of six months, demonstrating a mastery of the subjects and the specific requirements of each exam at each of our target schools. He quickly identified areas for improvement, listened carefully to our requests and observations (as well as to our son’s), and responded by adapting content and approach as appropriate. Critically, Fred inspired our son to learn, and to do his best, by winning our son’s trust and respect right from the first meeting and building a strong working relationship. To cap it all, our son was awarded the maximum academic scholarship at our preferred school. I have no hesitation in giving Clarendon the highest recommendation!

Nino worked wonders with my daughter helping her achieve her potential and the A level grades needed for her degree course. Orlando is worth his weight in gold - not so much as to help navigate through the 11+/13+ process - but to provide a wise head and the soundest counsel on the way! Always most mindful of the child, the need to avoid undue pressure and of what choices will truly suit them, Orlando’s approach helped anchor us in the otherwise stormy waters of London’s schools system. He provided us with tutors too for our daughter (11+) and our son (13+) who both won places to their first choice schools. Both Henry and Fred were wonderful tutors - and Fred in particular was just our son’s type - it was a perfect fit.

My son had weekly tutoring to preparing him for taking his ISEB test. This was a process we knew nothing about before, and Henry kindly guided us along the path! Henry is really personable and my son took to him straight away. He loved his weekly lessons (over zoom), and looked forward to them. It was never a chore getting him to do the work. Henry explained things to him in a way that I would never have known, and even did different things to what he was doing in school. Even in the relatively short space of time that he had lessons, he learnt so much - it was definitely worth the money. He also did a mock interview which really helped build my sons confidence for the real thing, just knowing what sort of things he might be asked etc - again, things my husband and I Just wouldn’t have known. Community group De Beauvoir Welcomes Refugees has supported a Syrian refugee family since 2017. We hired English & Maths tutor support from Clarendon to help Ahmad, the eldest son, prepare for his GCSEs. We were very pleased with the Clarendon support both in terms of the teaching methods and friendly delivery. More importantly, so were Ahmad and his parents, all gratified when he got 5 GCSE passes - a fantastic achievement given that he went straight into secondary school with almost no English.

Clarendon Tutors provided inspiring tutors covering maths, literature and photography, as well as organising wonderful days out around London including Westminster abbey, art exhibitions, the Globe and hockey training. Our family was in London for 6 months and the Clarendon team helped grow confidence, independence and academics. It was an amazing experience and the kids absolutely loved it!!
