Henry Serocold

Henry is co-founder of Clarendon Tutors with Orlando Simon. He is passionate about education, believing that private tutoring is most effective when utilised alongside traditional schooling, rather than as an additional strategy. A private tutor, although primarily focusing on academic development, must assume a more holistic role in a student's life - bringing positivity, confidence and clarity.

Henry has had a broad career, working in financial services before moving into education. He helped to set up a new fund management firm which set out to offer investors a fairer, more transparent service.

Henry's experience in education has been broad and far reaching. He has worked at Eaton House The Manor and, most recently, John Keble Church of England School before setting up Clarendon Tutors. He was educated at Eton College and Bristol University. Orlando Simon

Orlando began tutoring five years ago as a means of supplementing his income as an aspiring playwright. However, Orlando very soon found out what a rewarding and enriching experience could be for both tutor and tutee. Orlando discovered that with real care and attention he was able to develop each student and help them reach their targets.

Having worked for numerous London tutoring agencies, Orlando decided, with Henry, that they should set up a tutoring agency that offered something different - a more bespoke service, focusing on the needs of a child as an individual.

Orlando was educated at Eton College and Leeds University. In his spare time, he runs MORO Productions - writing and producing new theatre work - as well as seeing Middlesborough Football Club lose three or four times a season. Please get in touch with Orlando directly on osimon@clarendontutors.com.
